  • The Story

At Bat is an uplifting story about a boy who throws really well and receives a baseball and glove as a gift. At the first practice, the star of the story is pleasantly surprised, not only by the other boys, but by himself as well.

  • About the Author
Jill Barletti earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A self-described “grammar queen,” Jill has always enjoyed writing, and decided to pursue a career in writing after working in marketing and later in translation.
